PRIME MINISTER: inter-ministerial meeting on the procurement action plan

On Friday, October 3, 2025, Prime Minister Major General Abdoulaye Maiga chaired a meeting of the Interministerial Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management. The meeting took place in the conference room of the Prime Minister's Office, attended by several members of the government, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and directors of services attached to the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection. The objective was to develop an emergency action plan for the regular supply of basic necessities.
The Minister of Security and Civil Protection, Major General Daoud Aly Mohammedine, stated that during this meeting, they worked on the convoy security plan jointly with the Ministry of Defense, all relevant departments, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces. According to him, it is now necessary to strengthen the security of convoys on the main roads and also secure critical works. "We also discussed the situation regarding the supply of basic necessities, including fuel. Many concrete proposals were made, as well as many strong measures that will soon be implemented. At the appropriate time, we will communicate all the measures we had to take in this regard," he said.
Finally, the Minister of Security and Civil Protection urged the population not to panic; it is misinformation that is creating shortages, and he assured the public that the measures already in place will be strengthened and new measures will be taken to ensure there are no shortages of anything, particularly shortages of basic necessities.
