Military Academy: Day of Excellence 2025, an honored tradition

The courtyard of the Kati Military Academy (PMK) hosted its traditional Day of Excellence this Thursday, October 2, 2025. Chaired by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, and Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Major General Abdoulaye Maiga, the event was attended by numerous civilian and military figures.
On this occasion, several prizes and distinctions were awarded to the most deserving students, including five Djakarta motorcycles and ten state-of-the-art laptops. The event was also marked by the inauguration of new facilities, including two science blocks and a gym.
The Kati Military Academy, a true school of excellence, aims to provide Malian and international students with basic and secondary education, military training, and physical and moral training. In its academic component, the PMK follows the official curricula of the National Education system. On the military front, the students stand out for their rigor, their spirit of excellence, and their performance. The Director of the Prytanée, Lieutenant Colonel Cheick H. Bayala, recalled that the PMK achieved a 100% success rate in the Basic Military Training Certificate and the Advanced Military Training Certificate exams from 2019 to 2025.
The objective of this day is to recognize the merit, effort, commitment, and dedication of the students. The Prime Minister also highlighted the evolution of the Prytanée Militaire, marked by the admission of girls and students from friendly countries, as well as the modernization of infrastructure. According to him, this revolution reflects the State's desire to strengthen the drive for excellence.
The PMK has already trained hundreds of young people who today contribute to the public and private sectors. The Prime Minister paid a glowing tribute to the alumni, emphasizing their values ​​of fraternity and solidarity, before thanking the authorities for their support.

"These results confirm the institution's academic health and prove that military discipline combined with academic excellence constitutes a true school of life for young people," he concluded.
