They were all there, on Monday April 25, 2022, friends, relatives, comrades-in-arms, military and civil authorities, religious and partner Forces to pay a deserved tribute to the valiant soldiers who fell with arms in hand, on April 24, 2022, during the complex attack which targeted the camp Hamadoun Bocary Barry dit Balobo de Sévaré. The event was placed under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Mopti Region, Colonel-Major Abass Dembélé in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Army, Brigadier General Félix Diallo, representing the CEMGA.
The emotion was very great this afternoon at the place d'armes of the Sevaré camp. Started at 4 p.m., the funeral of these 6 brave soldiers, including a female staff, was marked by several testimonies. By reading the funeral oration of these deceased heroes, Second Lieutenant Bakary Diarra, after presenting his most saddened condolences to the families of the victims, recognized their exceptional qualities, in particular their commitment, their dedication and above all their bravery during the barbaric and cowardly attack that targeted the camp.
After this moment of recognition, the guests took part in the funeral prayer led by the imam of the camp. Then, under the helpless eyes of relatives and comrades in arms, the remains of the heroes were taken to their last resting place in the cemetery of Sévaré where they will rest from now on.
The next day, the CEM-AT, Brigadier General Félix Diallo went to the bedside of the wounded in the attack. He reassured them of the unfailing support and support of the highest authorities in the country. On behalf of the military hierarchy and the entire nation, he offered his condolences to the relatives of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
