According to Police Commissioner Ibrahima Abdine GUINDO, the perpetrators broke into the office and stole the safe, which contained 34,300,000 CFA francs as well as two gold bars with an estimated value of 2,900,000 CFA francs. After committing the crime, they reportedly abandoned the safe in a pond.
