Following an intensive training course combining endurance, discipline, and mastery of airborne techniques, 87 trainees received their parachute commando badges on Thursday, August 6, 2026, during an official ceremony, thus recognizing their readiness to serve within the parachute units of the Malian Armed Forces.

Presided over by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Colonel-Major Daouda Sagara, the ceremony took place on the parade ground of the 33rd Parachute Commando Regiment (RCP), in the presence of several military and civilian authorities.

This 76th class, comprised of 87 parachute cadets, includes two active-duty officer cadets from Russia, two soldiers from the 33rd Parachute Commando Regiment's Garrison Medical Center, and 83 soldiers from the Parachute Commando Regiment itself.

For 40 days, the trainees underwent demanding training focused on acquiring the physical, technical, and tactical skills specific to airborne troops. The course covered operational readiness, the handling of parachute equipment, safety procedures, and aircraft exit drills, preparing them for the missions assigned to parachute units.

In his address, the Director of Training, Captain Moussa Traoré, expressed his gratitude to the High Command for its support in organizing and ensuring the success of this session, with special mention of the Commanding Officer of the 33rd Parachute Commando Regiment. He also praised the professionalism of the instructors, trainers, and all the support staff who contributed to the quality of the training. Speaking of the spirit that drives the paratrooper troops, Captain Traoré recalled the paratroopers' motto, "Believe and Conquer," emphasizing that it reflects confidence in preparation, equipment, and comrades, while demanding the courage to make the jump with determination and composure.

The ceremony concluded with a parade of the new graduates, followed by a group photo, marking their official entry into the large family of Malian paratrooper commandos and their readiness to serve the Nation with honor, discipline, and professionalism.
