NATIONAL GENDARMERIE SCHOOL: 20 Female Officers Strengthen Their Leadership Skills

The National Gendarmerie School in Faladiè hosted the closing ceremony of a training workshop on women's leadership on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The event was presided over by the Commander of the National Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centers, Colonel Ibrahim Traoré, in the presence of several military officials.
This training aimed to strengthen the participants' capacities in leadership, decision-making, and responsibility management, in order to better leverage their contributions within their respective units. For two weeks, from August 3 to 14, 2026, twenty female officers from various branches of the Defense and Security Forces participated in this training. Among them, 10 were from the National Gendarmerie, 2 from the National Police, 2 from the National Guard, 2 from Civil Protection, 2 from Malian Customs, and 2 from the Central Directorate of Armed Forces Health Services (DCSSA).

In her address, the training director, Ms. Adja Tenindjè SAMAKÉ, commended the commitment of the training organizers and the participants. She expressed her satisfaction with the knowledge and skills acquired during the two-week training.

She also extended her sincere thanks to the head of mission of EUCAP Sahel Mali and its staff for their financial support and assistance in organizing this session dedicated to female officers of the Malian Defense and Security Forces.
Speaking in turn, Colonel Ibrahim TRAORÉ emphasized the importance of this initiative in strengthening the skills of female officers and enhancing their role within the Defense and Security Forces. He particularly emphasized the need to promote their leadership, decision-making, and full-fledged responsibilities.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants, followed by a cocktail luncheon. A group photo then marked the end of the event in a friendly atmosphere.
