COOPERATION: Minister Delegate Receives the British Ambassador to Mali

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Major General Oumar Diarra, received His Excellency Mr. Angus McKee, the British Ambassador to Mali, in audience on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at his ministry.

This meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Mali and the United Kingdom, particularly in the areas of security and development.

After more than thirty minutes of discussion, Ambassador Angus McKee expressed his honor at having been received by the Minister Delegate. He reaffirmed his country's commitment to continuing to support Mali in all areas, especially in security and development.


According to the British diplomat, the United Kingdom remains ready to support Mali in its efforts, particularly by strengthening the capacities deployed in the region to address security and humanitarian challenges.
