ARMY MUSEUM: The Officers’ Application and Advanced Training School discovers our country’s military heritage.

On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Army Museum hosted a delegation from the School for Officer Application and Advanced Training (EAPO) as part of the institution's educational activities.
The visit aimed to give trainees a better understanding of Mali’s military history and to immerse them in the immense heritage left by previous generations of Malian fighters.
During this immersive experience, the trainees explored the various collections, artifacts, and historical objects housed in the museum, which bear witness to the evolution of the Malian Armed Forces throughout the different periods of Mali's history.
For Colonel Kader Konaté, Commandant of the School for Officer Application and Advanced Training, this visit is part of a long-standing tradition at the school. It offers trainees the opportunity to learn more about the prominent civilian and military figures who shaped Mali's history, while absorbing the fundamental values that guided their paths.
"This visit to the Army Museum allows trainees to discover core values such as discipline, self-sacrifice, and courage. They also learn about figures who have brought pride to Mali and are encouraged to look to these great individuals as role models," he explained.
Colonel Kader Konaté also emphasized the need for new generations of officers to preserve these traditions and to prove themselves worthy of the legacy inherited from their predecessors.
Beyond the exploration of historical collections, the visit helps to strengthen the military culture of officers in training and reinforces their commitment to the values of discipline, courage, sacrifice, and service to the nation.
